A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management prepared Sue Boyett to own and operate small businesses for 25+ years. Eight years ago she shifted her career to the nonprofit sector, where she focused her energies advocating for Health Equity in Morgan County. She is grateful to have worked with The Colorado Trust coordinating their Community Partnership strategy in Morgan County and the Morgan County Family Center, serving as their Assistant Executive Director for five years. Completing the 18 month master course, Community Leaders in Health Equity, inspired her to better understand the effects of systems of oppression and explore ways to work with her neighbors to heal, and create a community that benefits all who call it home. Sue stepped into the role of
Executive Director of the United Way of Morgan County in February, 2024 and is
inspired to bring her experience and passion for her community to the agency.

Though Miriam was born and raised in Fort Morgan, she graduated from Collbran High School. In Collbran, she volunteered with Migrant Services, Collbran Clean up, and Special Olympics. These opportunities are what inspired her to apply for the Food Coordinator position. She is excited to be able to help those in need. Her parents are from Mexico, so seeing the struggle that her parents went through to keep food on the table made her want to improve things in her town for the next generation. Since starting her position she has been doing interviews with different organizations to get to know everyone and learn how she can help clients to navigate the resources available. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her 4 year old son, Matthew, and her boyfriend. They love to explore new places.
